The Best Brentwood Schools – I get that question all the time, what are the best public schools, and the answer of course depends on the criteria that you use to determine what a best school would be. For me, it’s all about the standard test scores, because the rest is just someone’s opinion.
The older schools in Brentwood consistently have the highest TCAP scores and ACT scores in the state. Brentwood High School, Scales Elementary, Crockett Elementary, Lipscomb Elementary, and Brentwood Middle school, are all consistently at the top of the charts for average test scores.
And as long as the leaders of Brentwood continue to stand tough in the face of developers who want to build high density housing, they will separate themselves from Franklin even more as the best schools in the state. The average act scores from Brentwood high school are 10% better than Franklin high school, the top ranked high school in Franklin. I see that gap getting wider over time as the city leaders of Franklin continue to let developers build large apartment communities that feed children who are constantly moved into the public schools. I don’t see how these apartment help anyone who is a resident of Franklin, unless they happen to own the land the apartments are built on.
I would say it’s just my opinion, but statistics prove that I’m right.
