Brentwood Historic Home – Forge Seat

The Crocketts operated an iron forge on this site. A few rifles made here still exist. They can easily be identified by S&AC engraved on the barrell. The most famous client of the forge, Andrew Jackson, stopped to purchase arms for his men as he marched to New Orleans in The War of 1812.

It is built out of brick in Flemish bond.The interior was built to resemble Independence Hall in Philadelphia. It has been maintained on the National Historic register and is beautiful sitting on more than 18 acres.
