Laurel Cove is now The Grove

The Grove is a subdivision of upscale homes in southeast Williamson county designed around a planned Greg Norman designed 18 hole golf courses. Originally known as Laurel Cove, the project failed when Lehman Brothers collapsed in the fall of 2008 and couldn’t provide the $124 million dollar construction loan. It was undeveloped for years waiting for the legal proceedings to end and a new owner to take the plan and finish the job. The new developers, the Terra Verde Group, say they expect to invest $750 million to build 800 homes, on 1,000 acres over the next decade. and the have renamed the community The Grove.

Plans detail a clubhouse, day spa and fitness center for members, and of course the 18-hole golf course designed by golf legend Greg Norman. As of summer of 2014, the golf course is finished and they have been selling luxury homes at the Grove for over a year now.

As a golfer, I’m pretty excited to see the Grove take form. You can never have enough golf courses, and in Williamson county golf course communities are rare, Here are a few of the other golf communities with homes available in Williamson county.
